Course Description

HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

This course teaches you how to safely perform CPR based on the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. It’s designed for anyone who may need to give CPR in the workplace or community.

Course Validity:
The CPR certificate is valid for 12 months. It’s recommended to do a refresher course every year to stay up to date.

Delivery Method:
Blended – you’ll complete part of the course online and attend a short face-to-face session.

Duration:

  • Online learning: up to 2 hours
  • In-person session: up to 3 hours

Assessment:
You’ll be assessed through hands-on practice, role plays, questions (oral and written), and scenarios.
Please note: You must perform CPR on a manikin on the floor as part of the assessment.

Outcome:
After completing the course, you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.

Cost

$0* – $90

*This training may be subsidised by the NSW Government under the ACE initiative for eligible students. Funding eligibility will be established after we receive the application form.
