Fun Evening Classes for People with Disability
Are you interested in fun and inclusive learning opportunities?
The RISE Program of classes is intended for students who have a disability and are NDIS participants.
RISE stands for Rewarding Inclusive Social Education. Our RISE classes are designed to support students living with a disability to learn skills, have fun, socialise in a recreational setting and to participate in the local community.
Classes are filled with fun and impart life skills such as cooking or being creative with art and craft. RISE students are well supported by qualified tutors and staff with qualifications in Disability Services.
Classes are currently held in the evenings from 5pm to 8pm at the following locations:

How to enrol in the RISE program
If you have a NDIS Plan and would like to use some of your available funds to participate in the classes, or if you are due to have a review of your NDIS Plan and would like to know how to have funding included for the RISE Program, call 1300 191 100 to express your interest.
What is the cost?
Classes run for 3 hours and the College charges according to the NDIS Pricing Guide for groups. is also a small out of pocket fee each week for materials. Please check with the coordinator for current program costs.
What about transport?
The College does not provide transport, so you will need to arrange your own transport to and from classes.
What should I do next?
Please contact the College by calling 1300 191 100 or email rise@kcc.nsw.edu.au
You will then be contacted by the RISE Coordinator, who will discuss your goals and your individual support needs, and then organise a day for you to try out a class for free.
Do you need an Advocate?
You can have an independent disability advocate speak, act or write on your behalf. It is their job to assist you to exercise choice and control and to have your voice heard in matters that affect you.
You may also choose to use an independent disability advocate when you give feedback or make a complaint.

We all have a responsibility to make our community safe. If you think abuse, neglect, violence or exploitation is happening to a person with disability, you need to report it. The National Disability Abuse and Neglect Hotline is an independent and confidential service for reporting mistreatment of people with a disability.
