Role Purpose:
As the Quality and Risk Leader, you will play a critical role in overseeing the regulatory and risk ecosystem within KCC. You will ensure compliance with all regulatory obligations, manage the policy framework, and lead quality and risk management practices. Your leadership will foster a high-performing, engaged culture. This role is part-time, 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- RTO Quality, Safety, Accreditation, and Compliance: Ensure service delivery quality, manage RTO registration processes, and stay updated on regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Implement and maintain a Risk Management Framework, lead risk registers, and provide insightful reporting.
- Scope Development: Prepare business cases for new training programs and respond to regional demands.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Manage and update the organisation's library of policies, standards, and procedures.
- Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Reporting: Develop and report on the organisation's impact on the community and environment.
- Leadership: Develop and support direct reports, ensuring quality service delivery and a cohesive team culture.

Training and Assessment Trainer
Location: Kiama or Shoalhaven Office, with various training locations in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven region.

We are known for our inclusive learning environments and strong community partnerships, training over 1200 students annually.
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Training and Assessment Trainer to effectively deliver and assess the Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualification across a diverse student base using multiple delivery formats. A “can do” attitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging, employability-focused training tailored to the needs of all learners, including those with specific language, literacy, numeracy, disability, or cultural considerations.
- Prepare and maintain training resources (handouts, visual aids, presentations, electronic media, assessments) in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with relevant training standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and report data in compliance with AVETMISS standards.
- Participate in professional development to maintain industry currency.
- Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- Demonstrated skills in providing quality, engaging training to maximize student outcomes.
- Understanding of RTO Standards and commitment to maintaining professional currency.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills with a “can do” attitude.
- Organisational skills, record-keeping, and IT skills.
- Cultural awareness, especially regarding First Nations and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities.
- Minimum 3 years’ industry experience in vocational teaching (Training and Assessment).
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110 with additional credentials TAEASS502 and TAELLN411, or a higher qualification in adult education).
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable:
- Prior experience in delivering the TAE qualification.
- Experience working in an RTO or previous teaching role.
- Experience conducting RPL (Recognised Prior Learning) assessments.

About the role
Kiama Community College Ltd is seeking an experienced Individual Support Training Coordinator/Trainer and Assessor to join our team. This is a part-time role based in Kiama and/or Nowra, NSW. In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating, delivering and assessing vocational training programs in individual support.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate the delivery of individual support training programs, including timetabling, resource management and student support
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective training sessions for individual support courses
- Assess students' competency in line with training packages and college policies
- Provide support and guidance to students throughout their training
- Maintain accurate student records and comply with all relevant regulations and reporting requirements
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of training materials and delivery methods
What we're looking for
- Relevant vocational qualification in individual support or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering vocational training programs
- Strong assessment skills and knowledge of vocational education and training frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support diverse learners
- Highly organised with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for vocational education and training
