KIAMA & SHOALHAVEN COMMUNITY COLLEGES
Kiama Community College Inc. offers both accredited vocational training and non accredited leisure courses. The organisation was established in 1986 and became a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in 1994. The College is known for the friendly, supportive and reassuring environment it provides to participants, it’s flexibility and high-quality training. Kiama Community College Inc. is a volunteer-managed, community based adult education provider and is managed by a Board of Management whose membership is drawn from the community. The Board of Management employs a College Manager, Program Managers and administrative staff.
We operate as an independent, incorporated, non-for-profit association to provide high quality, adult education courses and activities to meet the expressed learning needs of the community. The primary communities we serve are Kiama & the Shoalhaven & Illawarra regions. The College focuses on delivering education and learning projects that meet the social, economic and cultural needs of these communities. We have a range of courses to improve an inspire your life.

Kiama Community College has provided a wide range of nationally recognised vocational qualifications to more than 3,000 students in our community. Our vocational qualifications assist you to upskill or gain your first job and are recognised by employers across the country. When you study with us, you receive the same qualification and government subsidies provided by TAFEs and other RTOs approved under the NSW Government’s Smart and Skilled program. PLUS you also benefit from small class sizes, individual attention and access to a Student Support Officer who will assist you with your study/life needs and support you in seeking work placement and employment. Kiama Community College Inc. receives core funding from NSW Department of Education & Communities, Adult & Community Education Unit and State Training Services. It also attracts several other sources of government funding as well as fee for service business to fund its operations.
In 2009, Kiama Community College expanded its offerings to the Shoalhaven region with the establishment of Shoalhaven Community College, a campus of Kiama Community College. Servicing the large and diverse composition of the Shoalhaven region's 95000 community members, Shoalhaven Community College is a valuable addition. Shoalhaven Community College offers the Shoalhaven region with state-of-the-art Hair & Beauty training facilities, modern computer rooms, contemporary kitchen area and a choice of fully equipped training rooms.

BOARD OF MANAGEMENT
Kiama Community College Incorporated is an independent, not-for-profit association. It is governed by a Board of Management whose membership is drawn from both the Kiama, Shoalhaven & Illawarra communities. The Board of Management employs a College Manager, Program Managers and administrative staff. It is the Board's role to ensure the College upholds its purpose, key values and regulatory obligations whilst ensuring the integrity and quality of any training undertaken.

Doing school differently
Shoalhaven River College is a registered non-government school accredited to deliver the NSW School Curriculum for Stage 5 and 6. SRC operates under the auspices of Kiama Community College Inc. Create for students who feel that a mainstream educational setting is not the best environment for them to thrive in academically or personally.
The school, being small in student number, is personal, supportive and focused on the individual’s success at all times. Our staff are experienced and passionate about young people succeeding in their schooling and being equipped to pathway successfully into their future beyond high school.
