Course Description

This non-accredited skill set is for people who wish to learn about working in residential aged care and community services.  You will learn about the difference between community and residential care, infection prevention and control, personal support needs, what makes good communication skills, and introduction to dementia, death and dying.   You will hear from an experienced aged care educator and talk through ‘a day in the life of an aged care worker’.

This short course is a great introduction and pathway to the qualification CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).

On successful completion, you will receive a Statement of Participation for “Introduction to Working in Aged Care”. 

Cost

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and if you have been impacted by the NSW Stay at Home orders, you may be eligible for a subsidised place. Once we have received your application, we will contact you to confirm your eligibility and finalise your enrolment. Alternatively, feel free to give us a call to discuss.
