Introduction to Barista

The coffee industry is a vibrant part of our cafe & restaurant culture and skilled baristas are in high demand.
This practical, hands-on and fun workshop# is the perfect introduction for people interested in becoming a barista for for those who would like to upgrade their existing skills and knowledge.
By the end of this course, you will be grinding coffee beans, extracting espresso, texturing milk and pouring the different types of coffee served on a cafe menu. You will also be able to set up and close down a commercial espresso machine.

#This is a non-accredited workshop. On successful completion you will receive a Statement of Participation in: Preparation and set up of espresso machine and work area, Adjusting the grind to ensure correct texture, The perfect espresso extraction, Milk texturing, Preparing espresso beverages, Closing down after service, Back flushing the machine.
