Introduction to Tablets
Do you own an Android Tablet or Smartphone? This course will help you build confidence in using your device.
We want to help our seniors get 'tech savvy' to stay connected during this time.
Please Note: If you are using your Android Phone or Tablet please ensure that you have your Gmail Account set up in order to download Apps.
Throughout this course you will learn how to communicate using your Android Tablet or Smartphone as well as:
- the difference between a tablet and computer,
- the hardware and basic interface of a tablet,
- touchscreen and gestures,
- installing and using apps such as games,
- web browser,
- communication tools,
- social media and Skype to keep in touch with family and friends,
This course is funded for Seniors over the age of 60, and for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Seniors over the age of 50.
The NSW ‘Tech Savvy Seniors’ program is an initiative of the NSW Ageing Strategy and is funded through a partnership between the NSW Government and Telstra.
