Snorkelling Leadership

Course Description

Gain the required skills and knowledge to lead and supervise participants during recreational snorkelling sessions including:

  • Preparing participants and snorkelling equipment
  • Conveying snorkelling skills and techniques to participants
  • Managing activity safety and adapting to changing conditions

This course is suitable for those with existing outdoor leadership qualifications who wish to add another specialist area to their repertoire or for people considering an entry point into a rewarding outdoor career.

Please note: You will require your own wetsuit, snorkel, mask and fins.

 

On successful completion of the course, participants will receive a statement of attainment from SIS30619 Certificate III in Outdoor Leadership in the following units:

  • SISOSNK001 Snorkel
  • SISOSNK002 Lead snorkelling activities
  • SISCAQU020 Perform basic water rescues

 

Cost

$0* – $1,150 

*This training may be subsidised by the NSW Government under the ACE Initiative for eligible students. Eligibility will be determined after we receive the application form.
