Our Barbering Skill Set equips you with the essential skills to succeed in the dynamic world of men’s grooming. Whether you’re just starting your journey or looking to refine and expand your existing techniques, this course provides a strong foundation and practical expertise. 

You’ll learn core barbering fundamentals, including cutting and fading techniques, beard shaping, straight razor shaves, and professional client consultations. Through hands-on training with modern tools and equipment, you’ll develop precision, confidence, and efficiency in real-world barbering scenarios. 

The course also focuses on understanding different hair textures, face shapes, and client needs, allowing you to create personalised, polished looks for every individual. Designed to build both technical ability and professional confidence, this skill set is the ideal starting point for anyone aiming to become a skilled, in-demand barber. 

On successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment from SHB30516 Certificate III in Barbering

Plus, receive a statement of participation in the workshops:  

• Provide men’s general grooming services 
• Create traditional and classic men’s haircuts
• Cut hair using freehand clipper techniques 
• Design and maintain beards and moustaches
• Shave heads and faces
• Create haircuts using tracks and carving
• Provide men’s general grooming services 
• Communicate as part of a salon team
• Delivering salon services to clients
