Are you aged 15-24 ? Do you have a passion or talent for social media, web design, coding, writing or marketing ?

At Kiama Community College you can earn while you learn!

We are currently taking the final enrolments for our NextGEN Digital program. It is an innovative and highly supportive  program funded by The  Australian Government's Empowering YOUth Initiatives.

You will gain:
  • A casual job doing REAL digital work for REAL clients for 10 weeks,
  • hours per week earning REAL PAY,
  • A Certificate II in skills for Work & Vocational Pathways FSK20113 with a focus on digital media
  • The opportunity for a job reference, a portfolio of your work and additional opportunities for work placement or employment in IT and digital marketing–related fields
  • Excellent support for your needs
  • So many valuable skills for a career area with a big future.

Participants undertake 3 phases of learning to maximise their confidence and employability in the growing digital and IT industry.

  1. Training- Undertake a Cert II in Skills For Work & Vocational Pathways with an emphasis on digital skills enhancement
  2. Employment- Complete tasks for real business clients under the mentorship of a social media expert and get paid for it 3 hours per week for 10 weeks
  3. Work placement- job ready participants are placed into work placement where possible to consolidate their digital and employment skills

All students are supported by a case manager throughout their program to assist in any barriers they face to employment or completing their course
