Have an iPad or Android tablet? Our Introduction to Tablets course covers the difference between a tablet and computer, the hardware and basic interface of a tablet, touchscreen and gestures, installing and using apps such as games, web browser, and communication tools, as well as social media and Skype to keep in touch with family and friends. Thinking of travelling? These handy devices can lighten your load. They won’t replace your suitcase but they can replace your camera, video, books, CDs and do a lot more.
An iPad can provide hours of entertainment and is a great device to communicate with family and friends through Skype, FaceTime or social media (Facebook or Instagram). Let us show you how to upload your happy snaps or create a travel blog so everybody can be jealous of the great time you are having!
Have you heard about our “Silver Fox” weekly computer drop-in classes? Held every Monday from 3pm til 5pm at both our Kiama and Shoalhaven campuses, these sessions are designed for anyone that has a quick question or a computer issue that they are “stumped on”. If you are working on a project such as a newsletter or digital photo album, bring it with you so our “Silver Fox” tutors and your class mates will help you to forge ahead.
Please keep in mind that hardware and some technical issues will need to be handled by an IT maintenance firm. Why not bring a friend along and make it a social outing. Keep your mind active and don’t get left behind. Become tech savvy and impress your family and friends!
